Trade appraisal

Retail market value, less what the damage costs to recondition at your rates, less your margin. What is left is the most you can pay for the car.

Every line says where its number came from. Measured came from data. Your number is a figure you or your rate profile supplied. Nothing on this page is a book value.

The appraisal reuses the market value and damage already on that estimate. It calls nothing external, so you can re-run it with different margins as often as you like.

The market figure is a retail listing average from live comparable listings. It is not a wholesale, auction or trade-in book value, and none is calculated here, because the underlying data does not contain one. This is an estimating tool: it shows you the arithmetic and its inputs so you can price your own position against it. It does not tell you what a car is worth at the block.
